Interim General Manager Update

The Board of Directors of the Belfast Cooperative is pleased to announce the hiring of Doug Johnson as our new Interim General Manager.

Doug will be stepping down from his current position as Marketing Manager, and has resigned his seat on the Board.  Doug brings 15 years of work experience in cooperatives and 4 years on co-op boards to his new role.  Utilizing his experience, his outstanding work ethic, and his genuine desire to make the Co-op succeed, the Board is confident that Doug will continue the financial and institutional growth of the Co-op during his tenure.

Doug will replace the current Interim General Manager, Brittany Baird, who will be leaving us on December 12 for other commitments.  We owe Brittany a great debt of gratitude for the fine work she has done for the Co-op, including tremendous support to the Board and staff through the General Manager search and hire process.

The Board of Directors will continue the search for a permanent General Manager in the coming months, while giving all our support and assistance to Doug and Brittany during this transition
